Camp Discovery

Camp Discovery is a hands-on, activity-based, summer program with an emphasis on fun and learning. Obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, friendly competitions, team challenges, cooking, creative art activities, swimming, and weekly field trips are just part of the fun. Children gain socialization, problem solving, and teamwork skills through their summer experience.

All of the campers will have the opportunity to visit the Kid's Clubhouse. The Kid's Clubhouse is a facility housed at CDC's Franklin Park location which features a regulation pool table, ping-pong table, foosball, air hockey, arts and crafts materials, and a stage complete with karaoke. Kid's Clubhouse is used by all Camp Discovery groups on a rotating basis, so each group may visit at least once per week.

The summer camp program is designed for children who have completed first through fourth grades.
