Graduate Success Stories
Jennifer Eberwein
Jennifer was the first student enrolled at Children's Discovery Center. She graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1995 and later received a BA in Psychology and Pre-Physical Therapy from Ohio University. She received her Masters' in Physical Therapy from Andrew's University in 2001. She is a Senior Physical Therapist at the Kettering Sports Medicine Centers in Beaver Creek, Ohio.
When asked what she loved most about attending CDC she remembers going on field trips, getting to try lots of different things, and learning table manners.
Kate (Heineman) Scanlan
Kate attended CDC from 1983 to 1986. She attended St. Ursula Academy and was a member of the varsity cross country team and The National Honor Society. She graduated from Indiana University in 2003 with a degree in Telecommunications. In 2004 she and her partner started Maumee River Marketing Services, a full service marketing agency catering to small business owners. Kate is the Art Director and a Managing Partner.
She fondly remembers learning to ride her bicycle on Bike Day at CDC and being able to read big kid books when she graduated from CDC Kindergarten.
Brian Matuszak
Brian graduated from St. John's Jesuit High School in 2007. He will be attending Michigan State University and plans to major in business. His goal is to own a car shop business.
Brian's winning essay, How My Early Childhood Experience Impacted My Love of Learning earned him a first prize in CDC's essay contest. Brian received a $500 scholarship award from Children's Discovery Center. |
