“From infants to summer camp, CDC has given our children the opportunity to grow in a loving Christian environment. The caring teachers have reinforced the values that we believe in. Our children have learned about science, nature, music, and Spanish, thus preparing them for kindergarten. This is accomplished with field trips to COSI, the Toledo Zoo and library, walks, theatre productions, a music teacher coming to the site, and chapel day. The well prepared lessons keep the children active in a controlled environment. We are kept apprised of our children's activities and behavior through daily communication with the teachers, information boards, and the classrooms monthly newsletters. The teachers have gone above and beyond their job description when caring for our four children. This is evident by our children's love for CDC.”

“I have been bringing my children to CDC for nearly 8 years now. There are many reasons that my children have attended and still attend at CDC. For starters, the various environments provided for different ages of the children. Plus the staff is always happy, courteous and willing to please. I also have to mention that the curriculum is outstanding. Zachary at the age of two could count to ten and by the age of three could count to ten in Spanish. Our daughter Madison had learned to sign while attending CDC. At 16 months she signed 'please', 'thank you', and 'drink'. This is a great way to communicate with her before her speaking age begins.

I have great comfort in knowing that while I am at work, my children are in great, tender loving care at CDC, and I will continue to let them nurture my children when I cannot.”

We quickly found out that Children's Discovery Center is NOT a 'daycare', but a school.
Each class, infant, toddler, pre-school and pre-k is staffed with teachers, not babysitters. They all produce lesson plans; follow routines and schedules daily and weekly. As each child moves up in the classes, you can expect a very consistent environment with routines and schedules.
