This child care center has been serving the area for more than 13 years and most of our enrolled families at this Children’s Discovery Center location live and work nearby. Deeply rooted in our surrounding community, our staff has grown life-long relationships with so many of the children and families that we serve here.

The incredible team of directors and teachers at our Harbor Town Location consists of 24 members with more than 100 years of combined educational experience! Like you will see at our other locations, children who attend our Harbor Town Place child care center are offered an inspirational environment for growth and discovery. Teachers and children work together to design projects that encourage growth in physical, emotional, creative and intellectual development. The teacher is a partner in learning with the child while acting as a resource, facilitator and documenter of learning in the classroom.

Each of our classrooms emphasizes aesthetic design elements such as color, focal points, texture, lighting displays, furnishings and brings a bit of the outside indoors through nature elements, all to encourage discovery. We even feature museum-quality exhibits and an art studio!

All children take part in Reggio Emilia-inspired activities, guiding the educational process through curiosity and exploration. We cover a variety of educational subjects including literacy, science, music, art, math and more.

Our Harbor Town Place location also features a few friendly classroom pets! We have fish and birds for the children to help care for and learn from. We also feature a greenhouse and vegetable garden that the children care for every spring by planting seeds, watching them grow and collecting their harvest.
