Children’s Discovery Center CEO Selected as a Master Leader

Toledo, OH  – Lois Rosenberry, president and CEO of Children’s Discovery Center, has been selected as a Master Leader of the Exchange Leadership Initiative—a title awarded by Exchange magazine to experienced professionals who have proven themselves as able leaders in the field of early child care and education.

“I am honored that Exchange has selected me as a Master Leader,” says Rosenberry.“I hope to continue to work collaboratively and build networks around key principles and practices of early child education as a professional and leader in this field.”

The Master Leader title is given to 38 professionals over the age of 45 who make an impactful career trajectory serving young children, families and early childhood professionals. Master Leaders must show a deep understanding of early childhood research and principles while demonstrating perseverance in pursing difficult objectives. The leaders will assist in creating ideas and planning initiatives to lead Exchange.

Select leaders will be featured in the November and December print issue, and all leaders will be included in the magazine’s online version of the article.

Rosenberry founded Children’s Discovery Center in 1982 in Ohio and has opened six centers in the Toledo area. She has been recognized as an innovator in the child care field and featured in Inc. Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, Executive Female and Early Childhood News. She is also a recipient of the Milestone for Women award, the Athena Award and the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Enterprise.

Rosenberry received a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science from Messiah College and a master’s degree in education from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Penn. She is a co-author of Inspiring Spaces for Young Children and Rating Observation Scale for Inspiring Spaces.
