Since 1982, Children’s Discovery Center has served the Toledo area with outstanding early education programs that have far surpassed common daycare practices. Our centers were founded with the Christian perspective that each child is valuable and created to learn, explore, and discover.




Our mission is to offer support to families by nurturing every child who enters our program. We set ourselves apart by focusing on child-led discovery and intentional learning. It doesn’t take long for parents to notice the difference between our program and other daycare services.

Our philosophy is rooted in discovery.

Our educational philosophy is rooted in a method called the Reggio Emilia Approach. With a long history of child-motivated learning, this approach views exploration, creative play, and discovery, as foundational to a child’s educational success.




We also incorporate S.T.E.A.M programs into our educational model, which includes science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. This expands upon the Reggio Emilia Approach by allowing kids to explore these key areas of interest. We’ve seen wonderful results from our integration of S.T.E.A.M activities as children are constantly being challenged and encouraged to excel in these subjects.

Our staff is invested in every child.

Along with our unique learning program, every member of our staff is professional, personable, and invested in each child’s potential to learn. They genuinely care about the safety, wellbeing, and development of every precious child that enrolls in our program.





Our staff works hard to make the learning experience both engaging and challenging. They not only supervise the children, they participate in child-led learning activities that promote independence and foster a love for learning.

Our educational program considers every learning style.

We believe that each child’s unique learning style should be considered when planning and implementing our program. Our goal is to help children develop a love for learning from infancy so that they can enter their primary years with confidence.




Whether your child is an auditory learner, visual learner, or a hands-on learner, our approach takes every strength into consideration. Activities are implemented based on each child’s interest and learning style. We work together with parents to create projects that will stimulate their child’s senses and fine-motor skills, as well as encourage children to excel in their strengths.

Our centers are safe, clean, and organized.

Our centers are clean, organized environments that give children the freedom to explore safely and happily. Parents don’t have to worry about safety or hygiene in our facilities. Great care is given to disinfecting all surfaces, toys, and supplies on a regular basis. Our goal has always been to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for your children.
